The Poles began with almost similar economic base, however, now have a 5-6 times higher GDP (500 billion dollars in comparison to 86 billion in Ukraine), alongside this, Poland is the EU Member State and one of the most developed countries of the region. There are economic “recipes” equally successful for any economy. They must be adjusted to the realities of Ukraine, betting on the development of its own potential – industrial, innovative, active civil society, its cohesion,” – said Anatoliy Kinakh.

Former Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine, International Coordinator of the “Decentralization and Regional Development” Sector Jacek Kluczkowski presented Draft Recommendations for the President of Ukraine, leaders of political parties, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Government of Ukraine, the civil society of Ukraine and international partners, based on the best practices of transformation in countries of Central and Eastern Europe (particularly Poland), developed by the Working Group of the NFTU.
